Google Docs Reflection
Today in class September 28, 2010 We learned how to use Google Docs. At first it was a little confusing but, in a few minutes I picked it up pretty easily. As my group did as well. I think it is an excellent program and I think it's going to make working on projects a lot easier. I thought the video we watched about it was in the beginning of class was very informal and it made getting use to google docs a lot easier. I am very excited to use google docs in this class in the future!

Teaching from the grave
In class on Thursday(9/9/10) We watched a video called teaching from the grave. It was about a teacher who took his students to the grave yard in the town and let them study the tomb stones. This is some of my thoughts on the video.
I believe that this method of teaching is actually a very good method. Watching the first few seconds of the video I thought to myself there is no way this method of teaching was ever going to work. As the video went I it seem that I was very wrong in my statement above. Not only did the kids like what they were doing but they seem to be really enjoying it was well. Also when the student were interviewed they seemed to be very knowledgeable about the subject at hand. The students were very respecful of the graves as well when doing the research which I thought was a very good thing. I thought it was really cool to see how they took the data from the graves and put them into chart form and then presented them. It concluded in there project in a great way! As for the teacher of this class I think he did an outstanding job in teaching these children in this lesson.

Introduction..
My name is Colin Fait. I am from Selinsgrove PA, I'm a junior at LHU majoring in Health and Physical Education. I want to be a Health and Physical Education teacher because I like to be active and play sports. I also like to teach younger children how to play sports and be active in everyday life. It's an awesome feeling when you see these kids learn what you taught them and see them get better at it every time they participate. My experience with technology is pretty good. I understand a lot of the general technology aspects of a computer. When it comes to Facebook and MySpace, I feel that I am at least equal in ability with my peers. As for items with Microsoft Word, I took a few classes in high school on how to work on different projects. It has come in handy many times.
I have never taken an online course because I feel you get more out of a classes when you're in the class in person. As for taking this class I would not take it online because it wouldn't be the same "hands on" experience as it would be in the class room. One interesting fact is that I like to collect vinyl records as a hobby. I actually listen to them more then I do CD's or my iPod.
